Tell me about your environment.
The most useful first messages tell me a little about your role, what you're working toward, and roughly when you'd like to start. I respond to project inquiries within 1–2 business days.

What to include in your first email
A few details help me give you a substantive first reply instead of a round of "tell me more" questions:
- → Your role and organization. County IT director, city CIO, sheriff's IT lead, etc.
- → A sentence or two about what you're working toward. "Preparing for a State Auditor performance audit," "building an IRP from scratch," "evaluating our exposure after the County X incident" — whatever the actual driver is.
- → Rough timeline if you have one. Helps me say honestly whether I can fit the work into your window.
- → Anything sensitive stays sensitive. Don't include incident specifics, IPs, or live findings in a first email — we can move to a more secure channel once we've connected.
For active incidents, email is the fastest channel. I check hello@cascadiacyberconsulting.com more frequently than voicemail.
Ready when you are.
Project inquiries, scoping conversations, and questions about whether your situation is a fit are all welcome.
